HMK Interpreter

The HMK Interpreter is an artwork created for HotelMariaKapel, a residency and project space north of Amsterdam.

The Interpreter aims to introduce HMK to general visitors, including info about the history of the space as well as contemporary art in general. At the same time, it aims to test the usefulness/uselessness of such a publication. Originally, the Interpreter was made available in its natural habitat, an info table such as the ones found near the entrance of many art spaces. In this case, the info table was artificially created as an installation in the exhibition space at HMK.
